Chairman & President
I have been a member of NPS Area XI Committee for approximately 35 years, going back to when BSPS Area 6 and NPS Area XI ran combined events.

I’ve had many roles; starting as a general committee member filling in with whatever role was required, through to Chairman, I added to this to become joint Show Secretary back in the day of postal entries. My other responsibilities included pre-show WHP set up with course builders John Hall and Fiona Holten.
I have been Chairman on and off for almost 20 years, with a break when Gill Simpson held the role. When Gill stood down I returned to the role alongside Chris Graham, as we held the role jointly for one year, before I ran solo again.
In addition, I currently have the honorary position of President of NPS Area XI, which was bestowed on me when “Liz” Elizabeth Mansfield-Parnell stood down after holding the role for many years.
These days, I help where I can, and you will generally find me near or in the hospitality marquee.
A bit about me and my involvement with horses & ponies; My first involvement was as my father worked on a farm with Shires etc. then I worked on a point to point yard, before settling down to get married and have a family. My interest was rekindled when my children wanted ponies, after that I was hooked on showing and Area XI beckoned. I’ve been honoured to have been the President of NPS Main Branch three times, which is a first for the Society.
I have seen many changes in my pony lifetime and have some great memories judging, stewarding and competing; I am pleased to continue to give back and have the opportunity to meet likeminded pony people.
