Show Secretary
I joined the NPS Area XI Committee in March 2022 and after the 2022 Show I took on the role as Show Secretary from Caroline Cook. As well as being on the committee for Area XI I also founded the Midlands Foal and Youngstock Show which ran a highly successful inaugural show in November 2022 at Rodbaston College, Staffordshire and again in 2023 at Onley Grounds Equestrian Complex, Rugby. I also run the Midlands Dartmoor Pony Show which takes place in May. I am often seen up and down the country stewarding at various shows. More recently I have been elected as a Trustee of the National Pony Society.
Away from the horses I worked in our family run pub in Kingswinford, which we ran for just under 8 years, but due to recent family circumstances we decided it was time to hand the pub back to the brewery and move onto pastures new.
Since leaving the pub I have started up my own Rosette making business, The Rosette Shed, something I really enjoy doing. It is quite hard to come into an industry that already has a lot of established companies. So far I have had the privilege of making lots of beautiful rosettes and sashes including for the National Pony Society Anniversary Championship Rosettes that were awarded at the 2023 Summer Championship Show, The National Pony Society Great British In Hand Show and also the Mole Valley Farmers Working Hunter Pony Championship at Horse of the Year Show. I am really looking forward to growing this business in the future.
